Trading: Is There More to Animal Jam Than That?

Of course, Aldan is probably known as the fullest and most trading server of all time.  Almost every room is full, excluding Kimbara Outback, Sarepia Forest, and the oceans.
However, not all jammers on Aldan enjoy trading.  "I get unfair trades all the time," remarks jammer Wyrn54419.  And occasionally, someone will walk into Aldan with no idea why there are so many people
When asked what their dream item was, Josm02 and Wyrm54412 replied founder's hat and black top hat respectively, and both because it was their favorite color.
Most people in Aldan love to trade.  What about you?  Should trading be all of Animal Jam, or is there more than that?

Mail Time: To Send or Not to Send?

So many people do mailtime these days.  Julian2, LilacPetal, and some not as well-known people.  But many jammers wonder- is it worth sending?
If you didn't already know, mailtime is when jammers either ask people to send them gifts and open them in a video, or already have many gifts and open then in a video.
I interviewed simony123, who occasionally does mailtime without a video, on his thoughts.  "I probably only get a small amount of gifts each time, because people don't want to waste their stuff."  When asked why he thinks people should send them their stuff, he answered, " Because I am honest, I don't scam, and I don't need their stuff."  He also made the remark," I think people should keep their rares and betas."
An interview was also held with agigena7,  who "thought they should not" send their items for mailtime.  "Unless you really want to," she added, " Like people who used their time to make videos for people who like to watch them."
On this matter, there are very many different opinions.  What's yours?

Wandering through Appondale on 10/19/13, I stumbled across epicanimals57230, who was hosting a fashion show in her den.  Interested, I went to her den to meet the contestants: nicky5550, cuddly7, allhannahspets, firestar371 and, of course, myself!

When everyone had arrived epicanimals announced the first theme... spooky!  After everyone got their costumes on, epicanimals announced the first place winner of this round...  firestar371!  In case you wanted to know, the other winners of that round were me and nicky5550.  

Everyone left except the three winnners.  The theme was beach.  The winner was me!  Nicky5550 came in second but, unfortunately, firestar371 was eliminated.  

It was me and nicky5550.  Epicanimals announced the last theme... medieval!  I frantically dresses as a queen, while nicky chose to be a knight.  When the time came to announce a winner, epicanimals couldn't decide.  "You both win!" He announced.  This was all fun, but I think the thing that I really felt was what nicky said afterwards:

"I only do fashion shows for fun, sometimes for winning, sometimes for a prize and this time i did it for all 3."

Can you trust a scammer?

Scamming- we all have experienced it in some form or another.  Perhaps we've seen someone do it in Jamaa Township, or have been scammed yourself.  Most scams are very detectable.  But what would you do if you saw the scammer actually fulfill their promise?
Jammer Wolfygirl1234 was put in this exact situation.  On 10/17/13, she watched as a scammer, after performing the "best trade scam", gave away a spike wristband to the winner.  "So it seemed like you could trust him," she explained later. 
The scammer, enfinitie, repeated this technique, this time offering a spiked collar.  Wolfygirl1234, excited by this offer, traded him her mech helmet. 
How surprised was she when he accepted, ran away and blocked her.  He even turned off buddy requests, which, as we know, most scammers don't think to do. 
This, jammers, is why we need to all learn to recognize scammers.  Here is a big tip to not getting scammed:
Never send an item (unless you're giving someone a gift on purpose) or trade for an item you don't want!

Meet Cosmo!

Hey jammers!  Today's update brings the new adventure with Cosmo!  It sounds like a lot of fun!

Here is the area for the Meet Cosmo adventure in the Adventure Base Camp.  To get there, just go over the bridge, turn right, and keep going until you see the sign with Cosmo on it.

This adventure is for members only right now, but hopefully nonmembers will be able to adventure with Cosmo very soon!  Do you want me to do a walk through for the adventures?  Comment below your answer!

The next page is about the Summer Carnival Sale!  Buy all the items you want now jammers, before the Summer Carnival is gone!

As many jammers already know, AJHQ has changed the look of the Adventure Base Camp in the Temple of Zios!  It's bigger, looks better, and makes it easier to find the adventure you want!  Each adventure has their own little section!  It looks pretty neat!

The last page is split between two articles.  One is about Kimbara Outback, and the other is about pet monkeys on clearence in the Diamond Shop!  These fantasic furry friends will be leaving the Diamond Shop soon, so buy one before they're gone!

So, I've decided to have each day of the week have a special feature.  Here are the various features.

Ask-away Monday:  On the day before Ask-away Monday, I will remind you to ask questions in the
comments you would like to know (relating to AJ).  I will delete all comments that ask personal info.  The questions and answers will be posted on the FAQ page as well as in the post(which I will make soon).  

Trading Tuesday:  Every Tuesday, I will include a trading tip and info on a certain item and what it's worth.  I will include each post in the page Trading Tips (which I will make soon).  

Glitchy Wednesday:  Every Wednesday, I will post instructions on how to do a certain glitch (Which will also be included on the page glitches, which I will make soon)

Costume Thursday:  Every Thursday, I will post a costume of my own invention.  These costumes will be posted on the Costume page (which I will make soon)|

Funny Friday:  On every Friday, I will post five new funny photos and add them to the Funny Pictures page.

Story Saturday:  This is similar to Snowyclaw's Monday Mystery, and I give her full credit for the idea.  Every Saturday, I will post story starters to do with random things on AJ.  I will post my favorite story on the story page, giving the author full credit of course.  

Support Sunday:  Support Sunday is all about showing your support for this blog.  In Sunday's post, I
will ask you to, only if you want to, be a certain color with a certain pattern, wearing a certain item,
and to meet on a certain server in a certain place.  If other people are there doing the same thing, you can go off into Jamaa together and tell people how much you like this blog.  Only if you want to, it's just that word of mouth seems to be a popular way to spread the word.

A freedom bunny! Here's how you can be you're very own freedom bunny.
 1.  You need to be a bunny.
2. Change your two colors to white, make your eyes blue, and put on the girl eyes.
3.Make the pattern fire and make it red.
4. Next, you need to put on an eagle hat.
5. (Optional) Wear a heart locket.
6.  Put on freedom wings.  The really add the touch of freedom.
7.  Put on freedom bands and purple beta tail armor and you're ready to go!

The Glitch of the Week starts now!

Hi jammers!  Today's new item is the stone carved stove, found in none other than Outback Imports!

It looks rather interesting, as if an animal carved it.  Now that I think about it, it probably was an animal that carved it!  And is it just me, or does the stone look similar to the kinds of stone in Coral Canyons?  Comment with your opinion!

I've decided to do something called: The Glitch of the Week!  Most of these glitches will have been taught to me by someone, or I will have found it online.  I will try to give credit to the person who I learned them from, unless I do not remember, as is this glitch.  Today's glitch is a Mt. Shiveer glitch. Let's start.

Tent Glitch

Location:  Mt. Shiveer

Effect:  Enables glitch-doer to walk on top of the Hot Cocoa Hut

Difficulty:  Hard

1. Start by standing next to the tent, as far towards the mountain as possible.
   
   2.  Click on the name tag of someone in Mt. Shiveer with you and open the game tab.
   .  
   
   3.  Click on the striped pattern in between the party symbol and the journey book symbol.
   
   4.  As quickly as possible after clicking the pattern, select a game.
   
   5.  Quickly cancel the game.  If you did it correctly, you should be running on top of the tent.
   
   6.  As fast as you can, click on the change animals button.  Click the area where the animal that you already are is, even if it hasn't loaded. 
   
   If you did it correctly, you should be standing on the Hot Cocoa Tent!  This takes persistence and patience, so don't be angry if you don't get it on the first try.  Good luck!

Large, or Giant?

Hi jammers!  Today's new item is a pet fox plushie, found in the Summer Carnival!  Isn't it cute?  All in a teensy huddle!

Did anyone notice that the labels are inconsistent?  The big version of the older plushies, that are brought back every year, are labeled with the word "Large" blah blah blah plushie, while the newer ones are labeled "Giant" blah blah blah plushie!  It's actually quite interesting! :D

Also, take a look at this picture:

It looks like a treasure chest full of tickets, a box of cotton candy, a crate full of balloons, and a sack of plushies!  If you could have one, which would you take?  The treasure chest laden with tickets, to buy whatever plushies, clothing items, or den items you wish from the Carnival?  The cotton candy, so you could eat as much of this fluffy treat you'd like?  The balloons, to maybe fly through the air (maybe be the first flying jammer :P), or the sack full of plushies, to have as many of these adorable balls of fur as possible?  Why?

Kangaroos!

Hi jammers!  Today's new item is the Moon Hat, sold in The Summer Carnival.  It looks, uh, interesting...

Spike Collars: What's So Special?

Hi jammers!  The new item is most likely at the Freedom Party, so I'll update the post when I get there.
I know almost every jammer is crazy about spikes!  What makes them so special?  Why are they so rare today?  They look cool, and all, but why are these past monthly member gifts some of THE rarest items in Jamaa?  Comment below with your ideas!

Diamond Shop Replaces Monthly Member Gifts

Hi jammers!  Today's new item is most likely in the Freedom Party!  I'll update this post if I get into one.
What do you think of the Diamond Shop replacing Monthly Member Gifts?  I personally don't like it.  It was fun to get a jamagram from AJHQ each month, and awaiting the gift the day before!  And isn't it supposed to be a gift?  We need to earn diamonds and wait forever to buy something!  That is NOT what I would call a gift!  Comment below with your opinion.

Sorry..

Hi jammers!  I'm really sorry I haven't posted.  I've been so busy.  From now on, I'll post as often as I can.
So, today's item is Potted Coral, sold in Sunken Treasures.

What do you think of Animal Jam bring betas back?  The reason I don't like it is that it increases the scamming.  So many jammers are getting scammed of their rares, thinking that tea pots and teacups are not in stores.  Stay on the lookout for these scammers!

Another topic with scammers.  I thought of a tip to recognize scammers before they even start scamming.  Anytime you see a scammer, make sure to block them.  That way, the next time you see them, they'll have the block symbol on their name tag and you'll know they're a scammer!

Does anyone ever see new players come into Jamaa?  Sometimes, I will just wait by Mira's statue to welcome them.  Usually they will appear there, and they will be a default animal.  Check their achievements. There should only be none-1. 

How do you feel about begging?  I don't like it very much when people ask jammers to send them items, for whatever reason.

Hello jammers!  Today's new item is the crystal Peck statue in Epic Wonders.  I think many jammers will like this statue.

And something that seems a bit confusing.  As everyone know, you can usually look at the map and see which land is next to which.  But then why is there a passageway in Mount Shiveer leading to Crystal Sands?

Also, I'm going to withdraw the contest, since no one is doing it, and do the book myself.

Contest!

Hello jammers!  Bahari Bargains is where you'll find the new item- the underwater top hat!  Frankly, I think it should be called the underwater fancy top hat, the UFTC for short, because it's the mirror image of the fancy top hat!

And a fun project to work on!  What I will do is give sort of story prompts for Jamaa's legends.  I will give some questions that need to be answered for a story to be considered, but have fun with it and make it your own!  Comment with your story and I will choose one that I like!  Over time, I will build a Word document of each chosen story, giving credit to the author of course.  Then, I will print it, and we will have a "book" on the legends of Jamaa!

Here's the first one. 

Around the statue of Mira stands majestic stone arches, ancient and destroyed.  Who built the structure?  Who built the statue of Mira?  What is this place called?  What did it look like before it was destroyed?  Why were the arches built?  If animals were allowed inside, what did they do there?  Who destroyed the arches?  Where are they from?  Why did they leave Mira's statue untouched?

Hello jammers!  I'm so sorry, I started a post yesterday but was too busy to finish it. 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that today's new item is the crystal Sir Gilbert statue in Epic Wonders.  Sadly, this is a member's item.  Woah!  It's pretty expensive, just like the other crystal statues.

There is probably a new item at Jam Session too, which I will update the post with later today.

Also, I know everyone has seen users with the black tiger, but do other people have black tigers on their buddy list? 

I know for a fact they weren't banned, because they were never on since they made their account.  All my buddies like that haven't been on in 30 days.  That must be why!  Have you seen any other buddy things like this one?

Hi jammers!  Todays's new item is in Epic Wonders, the crystal Greely statue, sold for 3,000 gems.
Also, I don't know about you, but I am really excited about the last page in the Jamaa Journal, and the fact that Cosmo is going on a quest.  So all my animals are in battle shape and ready for an adventure!  I might hold some parties, so keep your eye out!

Pitch Fork

Party!

Hey jammers!  Sorry, this will be a short post because I am in a hurry.  Nothing seems to be new, it must be in an April Fool's Party. 
I am apologizing again because I missed the party.  This time, I am scheduling it for the Saturday after this one at 8:00 am Mountain Time.  The theme is Alphas/Mira/Zios.  Come dressed up as your favorite alpha, or Zios and Mira!

Hey jammers!  Today's rare item is the cupcake hat, sold in Jam Mart Clothing!  I don't think it's ever been in stores before though... 

In Epic Wonders, the diamond birthstone is now for sale.  It should be easy for us to get enough gems to buy it, with double gems every game!

And as it says in the Jamaa Journal, the monthly member gift for April is spirit armor.  Sorry, I forgot to take a picture.

And here's the post about the April Fools Party.  When you first come in, there's upside down grass and musrooms and a path leading into an upside down castle.

The flooring is spider-webby.  In the first room, there are smoothies, and fortune ball, an upside down torch, an upside down plant, and upside down tea-set, and smoothies on an upside down table.









 

In the room upstairs, it is very halloween themed.  There are three mini couches with a phantom on one and a sewer (I think?) with a phantom inside.





Sorry, I can't find the picture of the cruise ship area.  Here is the Jamaaliday area, complete with a tree and gifts.



Here's the little mixed up game hall.  The first game is Spider Zapper, the second Eat 'Em Up, and the third is Pill Bugs.

Then, there is an area in the sky and a shop there.

 

The items below are what are for sale in the April Fool's Shop.  The top three items look like they are glitched, but they never come up.  And they don't seem to have a wacky price!  When I put my mouse over them, they say Wacky Item, Zany Item, and Silly Item.  I guess you have to buy them to see what they are.  As you can see, I don't have enough gems.  If you find out what they are, comment below.  See you around Jamaa!
